Most of world’s problems are caused by over-population. To what extent do you agree ordisagree?
题目大意：
世界上多数问题是由人口过剩造成的。同意或反对？
思路：
同意反对类的题目，一般有是三种回答。1）完全同意；2）完全反对；3）折中（部分同意和反对）。我们一般是建议同学采用折中的策略，这样正文的主体段可以采用双边讨论，写作的内容选择就更多；
题目所给出的观点，其表述一般都是抽象和较模糊的，就是需要你通过细化，将一个抽象的概念区分为一个个具体的问题予以区别讨论。也就是我们常说的具体问题具体分析。
这道题的抽象词是mostof the world’s problems, 暗示了几个槽点：是否所有问题都是人口过剩造成的？还有哪些问题不是这个原因导致的？以及真正的原因是什么？

Some people may argue that the surplus of population is the causation of most problems the world over. While it may be the case in some countries, I would say that over-population should not be culpable for all the difficulties we have, while some underlying reasons need to be explored.
On the one hand, it is understandable why many people see the population growth as the answer to many problems. In metropolitan cities, tons of waste, whether these be packages of products, plastic bags,defective or outdated electronic gadgets, result in the enormous pollution tothe environment, as most of which are non-biodegradable and will stay in the landfills for hundreds of years to come. Another problem that irritates every urban inhabitant is the traffic congestion, which is an inevitable problem that can be attributed to the high density of population.
On the other hand, the increasing population should not be reckoned as the only culprit for all problems, while there may be other fundamental factors. One issue we should not forget is that in many countries, what the government faces is the insufficient workforce due to lower population. Canada, for example, is one of those countries that are frustrated with the lack of residents. Even in those so-called over-populated countries, if we move attention from those crowded urban cities to rural areas, the striking fact is the spare farmland due to the loss of labor force, given that the youth all move to cities in search of better opportunities in education, work and medical care. In other words, what is behind the population increase is its distribution, which is usually the result of imbalance of development and resources between the urban and the rural area.
In conclusion, although the population growth does contribute to many problems in cities, I would say that the essence of the problem is how governments institute policy to allocate the resources to facilitate the reasonable distribution of population.
